In January, 2003 Gabrielle founded the GF Parish Group, an executive
search firm that places individuals and teams in the investment
management business. Prior to that she established the Minneapolis
office of Warren International in the spring of 1999. At Warren she
executed a wide variety of searches in the investment management area, including five
team lift outs. This followed an investment management career that
began in 1980. Before entering the search industry she was
a Senior Vice President of American Express Asset Management. During
her more than 12 years there she was responsible for institutional
sales and client service to corporate plans nationwide, in addition
to varied responsibilities with U.S. public funds and institutional
investors in Latin America. She helped the firm see its assets under
management appreciate tenfold. She also oversaw strategic planning
for the asset management group where she focused on expanding global
distribution capabilities to institutions and intermediaries. She
was responsible for building strategic alliances and merger and acquisition
activity. At American Express, she executed her first lift-out of
a team of portfolio managers. Previously Gabrielle was Vice President
of Marketing in the Options Department of Salomon Smith Barney. In
that role she developed relationships across the U.S. with retail
financial consultants to assist them in the development of their individual
practices; she conducted client and broker seminars and provided daily
investment ideas. Before joining Salomon Smith Barney she was an options
trader for Paine Webber. Gabrielle holds an MBA from Harvard and
an AB from Dartmouth College.
